I have a lot of respect for people who raise challenges , and invest themselves in great projects with faith. I know, it looks like a ?cliché? but how to explain this with other words?

I know as well as Anne what it means to invest oneself in a scrum; it?s not always easy. You have strokes, your adversaries walk on you. But you have always friends around you who support you when you are not fine.

Anne is going to be alone on the Ocean. The first time against chronometer, and the second time against adversaries who will have just one purpose in mind : to win.

I know the ?weaker woman? does not exist any longer, bit Anne has not the height of a pillar or a second line. However, she will have to sail on a big multihull.

Her own adventure and challenges are courageous. I don?t wish her good luck, you cannot say that but I think of it.

One of the first times when a woman has defeated men was in my birth country, the Cape : everyone who loves the sea remembers Isabelle Autissier, of course, after sailing alone, the first step round the world with stopovers.

Since then, everyone knows that a woman can be equal to a man on the sea at least.

However, I can hardly imagine a woman alone on big boat rolled by the waves, in the cold, afraid of making fatal mistake. Despite my height, I could not bear it.

Anne is going along with her passion and tenacity for success. I congratulate her.
